Hello everyone,

We are excited to officially announce we recently launched the newest module of the Endor Protocol, per our development roadmap: “Explainability Report Explorer on Customers Private Data“. This new module offers an advanced “explainability“ capability, augmenting the Endor Protocol predictions with semantic annotation and enables users to understand the dominant features behind the various predictions. This is a significant milestone for the Endor Protocol that is likely to increase its usability for various potential users.

Before we dive into a thorough review of the newly added module and its functionality, we will briefly review the service on-boarding process (covered more broadly in previous publications), so you can run your predictions and gain the most value of your usage of the Endor Protocol:
To initiate your engagement, please follow this link to create a new user:
https://www.endor.com/protocol-new-user.

After you complete and submit the protocol compliance form, your request will undergo a validation process, at the end of which your license key ID will be generated and sent to you via email.

Predictions generated by the Endor Protocol are paid for using EDR tokens. To purchase tokens, click on the following link and arrive at the ‘Purchase Quota’ page: https://www.endor.com/get-more-quota.

There, you can select the preferred quota and submit your payment details. Once the payment is approved, you are ready to go!

When you are ready to use the protocol, simply click on the following link and arrive at the ‘Use Endor Protocol’ page: https://protocol.endorians.com. First time users will need to activate their account by clicking on the ‘Create Account’ button.

Please use the same email address you previously provided when paying for your predictions. It should be identical to the email address to which the license key ID was sent. You should also specify a username and select a password. Your login information will appear on the top righthand corner of the screen and your updated quota will be displayed under the ‘Run Prediction’ button. Once you have successfully set up your account, you will be able to start running your predictions. The prediction report can take several hours to run, depending on the nature of the requested prediction. Once finished, you will get an email notification with a link to the prediction
report.

Alternatively, access the report list located on the righthand side of the navigation panel to view current and past prediction reports. We also recommend visiting our education center at: https://www.endor.com/protocol-user-guide for additional relevant guidance.

The recent development and functionality added to the Endor Protocol is the “Report Explorer“. This advanced module allows the user to gain immediate insights of data attributes in customer provided data, with respect to statistical significance testing.

In order to shed some light on the prediction results, Endor Protocol user can use the “Report Explorer“ which allows the following options:
1. See the significant values across all customer data on-boarded tables and fields, when it comes to the items ranked at the top 10% of the list generated by Endor Protocol vs. the items ranked at the 10% bottom of such list.
2. See the significant values across all customer data on-boarded tables and fields, when it comes to the items at the top 10% of the list generated by Endor Protocol vs. the items on the entire list.

The user can select which group the ”top 10% of the list“ will be referenced to, by clicking on the toggle on the right side of the screen. The user can select a column name, using the column filter and see which values appear as more significant at the top 10% of the prediction result (i.e., “positive significance”) compared to the other selected reference group. A “negative significance“ means that the value appears within the bottom of the list/the entire list reference group as more significant than the top of the list. Example: below is the Report Explorer screen, generated for the following query: “Given a list of repeat customers ERC20 wallets, tell me which new customers (wallets) will become repeat customers?”.

Report Explorer may indicate wallets at the top of list (i.e., correlated with our repeat customers wallets), are more likely to make frequent transactions with a certain wallet, known to belong to Exchange X. Therefore, it may be beneficial if we direct our marketing campaigns to ads appearing on Exchange X.

There are 6 functions that are being calculated for each column in the transactional data:

  • Average
  • Distinct
  • Maximum
  • Minimum
  • Last
  • Most frequent

Note those functions are calculated only for the transactional datasets. In order to see the values of the metadata tables, the user can use the metadata filter and see the actual values as they are represented in the tables.

Example: a column called “City Name” can show that the value of “NY” is more significant on the top of the list than the group of the entire population. A column of “Phone Type” can uncover that the value of “iPhone” is more significant at the top of the list than the group of phone types at the bottom of the list.

The “Report Explorer” module can run on any prediction report. In order to run it, the user has to press “Run Profile”.

The following screenshot presents the default “Report Explorer” state:

During the runtime of the “Report Explorer”, the screen will show a status of “in progress”:

This process may take up to an hour to run, and the screen will be updated with the results upon completion.

Once completed the “Report Explorer” may augment Endor Protocol predictions with semantical meaning and insights.

On the right side, the user can see the most dominant values per selected column of interest as distributed across all the groups of interest (top/bottom or top/entire list). When the user would like to understand the rest of the values, it is useful to see which are dominant aside from the first most significant values. The user can change the info section by pressing the small pie chart that is in the info column of each row and the pie on the right side will change according to the selected function distribution that has been selected.

Note: the “Report Explorer” screen will show only the most significant values that the Endor Protocol identified. To understand their significance in greater depth, the user may download the segmentation report and see many additional insights that are currently not available via the user interface. This includes parameters such as the absolute size of each group and the actual amount of the significant value per group.

The “Report Explorer” contains numerous insights, many of which may not be of interest to the user. To allow the user to focus on a select few, they can mark the insight as being of interest using the + column in the row of interest on the “Report Explorer” screen. It will be added to the “Selected Insights” screen, which eventually shows all the rows that were selected as interesting by the user.

Once done exploring, the user will be able to share the list with their peers to apply the most suitable action strategy based on the prediction.

The default of “Selected Insights” screen is empty:

Once the user adds insights from the “Report Explorer” screen, they will appear in the “Selected Insights” screen. A number indicating the selected number of insights will appear on the side navigation panel as well.

We trust users of Endor Protocol will find this recent additional functionality invaluable. As always, we look forward to your feedback on your use of the Endor Protocol and we will continue updating you on new developments and progress.

Until then… may the Force be with you,

The Endor Team
